“Perceiving Emotions” Bingo (2024)
Design Need: As a Group Facilitator, I recognized the need to improve engagement during group therapy sessions. Specifically, for the session focused on emotions, I sought to create a method that would encourage clients to open up and share their feelings with one another.
My Concept for the Client: Developed "Perceiving Emotions" Bingo. Clients were provided with bingo cards featuring various emotions. They were then asked to share a personal story related to one of the emotions on their card. Other clients listened and marked their own perception of the described emotion on their cards. This activity illustrated the diversity of emotional perception among clients.
